CR2 is a leading provider of Internet and multichannel banking, ATM and card payment solutions to the worldwide financial services industry. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual, with a strong interest in software testing and test automation, to join the Software Quality Assurance team as an Automation Architect. You will be responsible for the creation of an overall Automation strategy and for guiding, mentoring, and motivating a team of Software Development Engineers in Test in its adoption, ensuring the team provide the highest level of quality across multiple products. Working closely with the Head of QA this role will allow you to shape the automation strategy, make recommendations on tools, testing standards, drive increased levels of automation within the team, and work closely with DevOps and IT to develop CI/CD pipelines across a number of products. This is a hands-on role and developing Automated tests will be part of the role.
You will work closely with your colleagues in DevOps, IT, Development, and Product within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and oversee the development of suites of automated tests and test frameworks for front and backend development
  • Own the automation backlog and prioritisation of items within the backlog for consideration at sprint planning
  • Guide and train the team on software testing and automation best practice
  • Maintain and review existing manual regression and automation suites to ensure coverage and efficiencies in run times
  • Review pull requests across the team and ensure the team are producing high quality automated tests
  • Ensure test environments and test data are fit for purpose
  • Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies as required
  • Analyse, document, and report test metrics
  • Identify training needs of the team
  • Review and assess continuously the tooling and test adjuncts the team use with a view to making improvements
