Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacture of Electrical Power Distribution, Control and Automation Systems
- Position Title: QA Engineer (Electrical Engineering)
- Working Location: Tuas Crescent (Transportation Provided)
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.15am – 5.45pm
- Salary Package: Up to $3,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections on incoming and outgoing parts as per established specifications and procedures.
- Maintain and manage quality records and data accurately.
- Identify quality issues and report them to relevant management for corrective actions.
- Ensure segregation of non-conforming products to prevent mix-ups before final disposition.
- Authorize the rejection of unsatisfactory parts and approve the release of conforming parts for storage and delivery.
- Perform routine tests and checks on switchboards manufactured in the workshop.
- Handle the testing and commissioning of switchboards on-site or on vessels, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any quality complaints or warranty claims.
- Conduct and oversee official tests that may require the presence of surveyors, consultants, or customers.
- Support the QA Manager in fulfilling quality objectives and responsibilities.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the QA Department.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all tasks.
- Ensure all inspection instruments are calibrated and in proper working condition.
- Proactively initiate actions to prevent product non-conformity.
- Recommend and implement solutions to problems identified and verify the effectiveness of these solutions.
- Manage the processing and delivery of non-conforming products until all issues are resolved.
- Follow established Quality Management System procedures to ensure compliance and control.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
