JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacture of Electrical Power Distribution, Control and Automation Systems
  • Position Title: QA Engineer (Electrical Engineering)
  • Working Location: Tuas Crescent (Transportation Provided)
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.15am – 5.45pm
  • Salary Package: Up to $3,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on incoming and outgoing parts as per established specifications and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage quality records and data accurately.
  • Identify quality issues and report them to relevant management for corrective actions.
  • Ensure segregation of non-conforming products to prevent mix-ups before final disposition.
  • Authorize the rejection of unsatisfactory parts and approve the release of conforming parts for storage and delivery.
  • Perform routine tests and checks on switchboards manufactured in the workshop.
  • Handle the testing and commissioning of switchboards on-site or on vessels, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any quality complaints or warranty claims.
  • Conduct and oversee official tests that may require the presence of surveyors, consultants, or customers.
  • Support the QA Manager in fulfilling quality objectives and responsibilities.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the QA Department.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all tasks.
  • Ensure all inspection instruments are calibrated and in proper working condition.
  • Proactively initiate actions to prevent product non-conformity.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to problems identified and verify the effectiveness of these solutions.
  • Manage the processing and delivery of non-conforming products until all issues are resolved.
  • Follow established Quality Management System procedures to ensure compliance and control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
