We are looking for a highly motivated QA Engineer Operations (gn). The position is available immediately at our headquarters in Hasselt, Belgium. The position is available on a full-time basis.
The QA Engineer will join our Operational Features team. This team is pivotal in ensuring the security, stability and maintainability of the infrastructure underpinning our applications. You will play a key role in in ensuring the quality of the processes for installing and upgrading TrendMiner, both on-premise and in cloud environments (AWS), as well as of our solutions for observability (logs, metrics, tracing), operational dashboarding, cost management & reporting and alert management.

Your Role

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and acceptance criteria, and translate them to multi-level test plans that can be used as a foundation for test-driven development and behaviour-driven design.
• Design, develop and maintain multi-level automated test suites together with your team that can be integrated in our CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform rigorous testing on infrastructure components to guarantee robust security, maintainability and stability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the QA chapter by sharing knowledge, best practices, and participating in cross-team initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging QA technologies and industry trends, and propose improvements to our front-end architecture and processes.

Your Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a QA engineer in software development.
• Proven experience with test-driven development and behaviour-driven design.
• Proficiency in creating detailed test plans and scenarios based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment with knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure (configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting) is a plus.
• Experience Linux infrastructure (configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting) is a plus.
• Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring and testing tools such as Cypress, Gatling, Playwright, Grafana & Prometheus is a plus.
