ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced or entry level QA officer to join our team and we are ideally looking for the following experience
- Experience from the meat industry would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Tertiary qualifications in food science or related discipline.
- Self -Driven individual with a passion for Quality/Food Safety.
- Bizerba knowledge advantageous
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
- Proficiency within all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the QA Supervisor onsite, this role assists in maintaining a quality management system that delivers wholesome, quality food products.
This is the perfect role for someone looking to kick start or progress their career at one of Australia’s premier meat suppliers!
Your new role will include:
- Driving the implementation of Food Safety Culture plans by reporting Food Safety/Quality incidents or potential hazards.
- Driving GMP standards by conducting GMP walks and working with production to address gaps.
- Verification activities of the Quality Management System & Food Safety Plan.
- Change management control, communicating changes to production and verifying implementation of change.
- Working closely with production to manage the control of rework and non-conforming product.
- Supporting the implementation of new product launches.
- Encouraging the importance of quality assurance throughout the organisation through high visibility of the QA team and ensuring QA involvement in processes
