Description:

APC is a rapidly growing EPC company that has been serving the power generation industry for over 45 years with the provision of complete engineering services for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of thermal power plants in Ireland, UK and worldwide.
APC has secured a number of new bespoke Projects across the UK and are now looking for a number of experienced and trainee professionals.
One of these exciting roles is for an QA/QC Manager to join our ever-growing team. The role is based in the Southeast of England, with some possible travel to project sites when required, and is to start late 2024.

DO YOU HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

  • With a least 10yrs experience in practice.
  • Senior Quality Advisor/Manager- or equivalent experience
  • Engineering level individual, with demonstrable experience across all five principal accountabilities.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Quality Manager you will play an active role in project management support of a multi-disciplined project by facilitating the planning, scheduling, and controlling processes. The ideal candidate will have a broad scope of knowledge covering quality related aspects of all major construction disciplines activities.
Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site.
Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters.
Coordinate with goods all receiving inspections on major equipment.
Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate all the quality inspections/walkdowns with the Client and Sub-Contractors QC inspectors.
Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer.
Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
Complete and coordinate the approval of the site’s QC technical submittals to the customer.
Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status
Coordinate with the planning and scheduling department to ensure milestone dates are understood for each turnover area.
Review supplier’s inspection and test plans against the milestone scope of work.

Coordinate with the commissioning department to define the scope of work.

  • Maintain and implement Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 and any subsequent or related standards.
