Description:
Are you an experienced quality control professional with an eye for detail, a strong understanding of compliance and the ability to lead and take initiative? If you’re passionate about food quality and eager to contribute at a higher level, you might be the QC Specialist we’re looking for!
REQUIREMENTS
You:
- Have several years of experience working in quality control, ideally within the food industry;
- Possess strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and regulatory compliance;
- Have experience drafting quality reports and handling corrective actions;
- Are a proactive communicator, able to build strong working relationships across departments;
- Have leadership potential and are prepared to step in as the deputy for the Quality Team Lead;
- Have a good command of both Dutch and English (speaking, writing, reading);
- Are comfortable working in a chilled environment – your tasks will take place in conditions around 4 degrees Celsius;
- Have an eye for detail, working precisely and efficiently;
- Are focused on quality and have strong problem-solving skills;
- Are available to work (occasionally) during evenings, Saturdays, and very rarely on Sundays.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
For our production site in Nieuwegein, we are looking for a AQ/QC Medewerker with advanced knowledge in quality control and compliance. In this role, you will not only ensure that our customers receive the best products, but you’ll also play a key part in improving processes, leading investigations and collaborating with other departments.
As part of your senior responsibilities, you will draft non-conformity reports, provide solutions for any compliance-related issues, and bridge communication between departments and the Quality Team Lead. You’ll also be prepared to deputize for the Quality Team Lead when necessary, ensuring smooth operations and continuity in the quality control processes.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Conducting and overseeing quality checks to guarantee the highest product standards;
- Drafting and managing inbound check reports, ensuring all findings are documented and communicated effectively;
- Ensuring all operations comply with HACCP, food safety, and regulatory requirements;
- Collaborating closely with associates from various departments to ensure alignment with quality goals, and acting as a bridge between the production team and the Quality Team Lead;
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement and contributing to continuous quality enhancements on the shop floor;
- Reporting quality or food safety issues to the Quality Team Lead, and taking corrective actions where necessary;
- Supporting and stepping in for the Quality Team Lead when required, managing the team and overseeing the production’s quality-related activities.
