The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Quality Assurance Team Leader will assist the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager in the day to day management of the Quality Assurance Department by providing co-ordination of all elements of the Site Quality System and direct supervision of assigned Quality Assurance staff. The person in this role ensures clear direction and guidance is given to their direct reports and provides metrics as required to the QA Manager. They ensure they keep up to date with global and corporate quality guidelines and that appropriate training is provided to their direct reports.
In addition, The QA Team Leader drives efforts to strengthen our Culture of Quality which calls for every employee to do his or her part in ensuring high quality products are delivered every day, every dose, for every patient.

- Manage the day to day administration of the assigned Quality Management System elements in line with GMP and appropriate global and site policies and procedures.
- Provide direct leadership and guidance to all assigned Quality Assurance staff to enable excellent performance while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Develop and implement effective performance monitoring indicators for the QA Department.
- Provide QA input into relevant Risk Management programs within the company.
- Demonstrate commitment to high standards of GMP compliance and product quality.
- Foster a good working relationship within the QA department and with all other departments.
- Interface with site operation owners to collect and analyze key data related to Quality Metrics.
- Establish and provide consistent timely analysis and publication of key quality metrics.
- Assist in providing inspection updates for active Health Authority or Corporate Site Inspections to Site Management Team and Global Quality Compliance team.
- Deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager as required.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Must possess knowledge of Pharmaceutical Quality Systems.
- Knowledge of working within an FDA/HPRA regulated facility.
- Position directly supervises 4 or more employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving problems.
- Must possess the ability to understand technical documents and can communicate description of problems and solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and MS Outlook
