We are seeking a Quality Auditor / Technical Assistant to join our Trafford Park based Technical team. This role is ideal for a graduate who has completed a placement year.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00 – 15:00, 1 hour lunch.
Reporting to: Technical Manager

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Assist and support technical manager with all aspects of site quality assurance.
  • Conducting regular reviews of finished product standards against Quality Assurance Standards, including organising and conducting taste panels.
  • Assist in conduction of Traceability assessments.
  • Contribute to HACCP meetings.
  • Collating, investigating and trending customer complaints. Applying corrective action plan.
  • Ensuring internal and external audits are completed as per schedule.
  • Raising food safety and quality concerns to technical manager to investigate.
  • Ensure that all tests and procedures are carried out according to standard methods, Codes of Practice, and customer specifications.
  • Management of trackers (supplier approval, training, complaints, quarantine, non-conformances etc.)
  • Support technical manager with supplier, raw material, packaging and service providers approval and performance reviews.
  • Complete end of day paperwork verification, in-line with site standards.
  • Coordinate instrument & testing equipment calibration.
  • Monitor and maintain testing equipment and ordering of consumables.
  • Coordinate sample collection including microbiological and retained.
  • Coordinate and communicate external laboratory testing.
  • Support technical manager with quality management system review and gap analysis.
  • Communicate & liaise with Technical Manager and Senior Technical Manager
  • Be actively involved in site audits, technical inspections, and any visits, ensuring that information is available as required.
  • Support with training of the site team.
  • Support production department with any specific food safety and quality requirements.
  • To ensure that all additional investigative testing is carried out and reported to relevant management.
