QA TECHNICIAN

An exciting opportunity for an experienced QA Technician to join our busy manufacturing site in Pokeno. This role will be responsible to meet the ongoing quality requirements in the manufacturing of precast concrete products and concrete pipes. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of laboratory work and experience in lab procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Routine product testing in accordance with National and International standards
• Carry out precast dimensional checks pre pour and post pour in alignment with specifications and inspection and test plans
• Writing standard operating procedures/quality assurance documentation
• Making/testing concrete cylinders/concrete raw materials
• Feed back to the plant findings and any other issue which need addressing
• Involvement in quality projects when necessary

What you will bring:

• Proven experience in civil engineering & manufacturing procedures and experience in lab procedures for testing concrete samples and products
• Ability to monitor and continually improve production efficiencies while performing to the highest standard
• Computer literate on MS Office including Excel spreadsheets would be a distinct advantage
• Technically Competent: the ability to understand how products work together to form solutions.
• Communicates effectively with the wider team and operates in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Practical understanding and experience of manufacturing health and safety standards
