JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary
This position impacts the organization by assembly inspection to include dimensional/positional accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and reports on manufacturing quality.
- Inspects incoming materials, packaging and labeling components, work-in-process and final products using basic inspection gauging.
- Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials.
- Ensures proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP, and ISO requirements.
- Performs activities in Quality Control department such as incoming, CQA and final product inspections.
- Drives process changes, reports on quality metrics and ensures proactive measures are taken to achieve quality goals.
- Documents quality issues and performance measures for management review.
- Documents corrective actions and tracks subsequent follow-up activities.
- Prepares and presents quality status and performance improvements.
- Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials.
- Identifies and champions resolution of quality issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Demonstrated strong math skills without a calculator
- Minimum of two years’ experience with inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies
