About the role
The purpose of this role is to facilitate research, implementation and capability development activities that will improve outcomes for mental health consumers who experience multimorbidities at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR). With a specific focus on improving physical activity and hepatitis C cascades of care, your work will contribute to the implementation of Better Care Together: A plan for Queensland’s state-funded mental health, alcohol and other drug services to 2027.
About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Advanced experience in developing research protocols, as well as completing and managing research ethics and governance documentation.
  • Track record of project management, including expert understanding of project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, risk management, prioritisation and commitment to meeting deadlines. Experience relating to implementation focussed projects is highly desirable
  • High level ability to work independently to facilitate the completion of research projects.
  • Experience of effective engagement across academic and government sectors and demonstrated flexibility and expertise in managing competing priorities and building consensus among stakeholders.
  • High level ability to clearly distil and communicate complex information to a broad audience, including policy makers, clinicians, health workers, data professionals, academics and consumers.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
  • A relevant qualification or research experience and expertise equivalent to a Masters or PhD in fields relating to mental health, data science or implementation science.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of a bachelor’s degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
