Description:

Quinn Downes Group are a leading National provider of Mechanical Services to high-profile clients across Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for a QEHS Manager to join our expanding team.

The QEHS Manager’s role feeds into the overall efficiency and success of the Quinn Downes Group, with responsibility for Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety. The following is an overview of the main responsibilities associated with the role.

  • Provide specialist Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety support and assistance to the operations teams where required, on day-to-day matters including but not restricted to; site quality, compliance obligations; accident and incident investigations and reporting; root cause analysis; risk assessment; corrective and preventive actions; training; etc.
  • Ensure our sites are in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring continued compliance to ISO and customer audit status requirements.
  • Full ownership of the ISO and CAPA Log.
  • Ensure EHS Plans are implemented and adhered to on site.
  • Development of Risk Assessments & Method Statements and provide training and communication to site personnel.
  • Communicate Safety Alerts through Toolbox Talks on a scheduled basis.
  • Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections.
  • Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments and Safety Statement.
  • Liaise with and provide information to H&S regulatory bodies (HSA/HSE) when required.
  • Develop and deliver H&S related training and development programs.
  • Create and sustain a safe & healthy workplace for all employees.
  • Collate and analyse QEHS performance metrics.
  • Delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for new employees and contractors.
  • Drive the development of a strong safety-first culture inclusive of all staff and contractors.
  • Conducting site audits to ensure contractual obligations are being met and a high standard of EHS compliance is being adhered to.
  • Observe personnel on-site to ensure EHS compliance. This will include monitoring specialist subcontractors, agency & direct employees.
  • Ensure continued compliance with all regulatory & legislative standards.
  • Be proactive in identifying both positive and negative behaviours while possessing the ability to implement realistic corrective and preventive measures to any non-conformances.
  • Manage & maintain employee training records, ensuring certificates remain up to date.
  • People Management responsibilities for a Health & Safety Officer.
  • Any other reasonable and relevant duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
