QHSE COORDINATOR

Location: Leicester
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Early finish on Fridays)

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Leicester, is seeking a dedicated QHSE Coordinator to join their team. This role has a strong focus on Quality, but an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices will be highly advantageous.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a QHSE Coordinator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards, with working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 being highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of Quality principles, with a focus on improving processes and systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance across all QHSE functions.
  • Monitor, review, and report on QHSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training and support to staff on QHSE procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with different departments, particularly production and engineering, to ensure that QHSE policies are embedded throughout the organisation.
  • Maintain records and ensure documentation is up-to-date and in line with industry best practices.
