GEA Group is ambitious regarding occupational health and safety, and therefore we are looking for a QHSE Manager reporting to the Vice President, Nordics Cluster. You will become part of a small team that deals with health, safety, and environment across GEA’s Nordic locations. You are committed and proactive with lots of good ideas that you not only think of but also act on – and you succeed in getting your colleagues on board with them. You are a professionally competent, detail-oriented, and independent QHSE Manager with influence. You have several years of experience from a similar position in the industry – preferably in the process and production industry, and you seek employment in a company where your experience will help to raise the bar and change the safety culture.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
As QHSE Manager, you will prioritize the implementation and maintenance of QHSE management systems across all Nordics Cluster Business facilities and associated division activities. This includes ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and GEA Group standards, and fostering effective QHSE communications throughout the Nordics Cluster, which includes Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland.
Furthermore, you will:
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of QHSE management systems, processes, and compliance across all facilities and activities within the Nordics Cluster.
- Primarily support sales, service, and project activities to maintain high HSE standards, and manage HSE resources and mandatory trainings for all GEA R&C staff within the cluster.
- Plan and execute internal and external legal compliance audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives for HSE.
- Develop and drive safety culture change processes, including effective incident and near-miss recording and investigation, and communicate lessons learned.
- Provide monthly QHSE reports and management review information to the country Management Team and departments, ensuring the implementation and regular auditing of GEA Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
- Organize and manage regular exchanges with Regional HSE colleagues to ensure efficient collaboration, standardization., and support customer pre-qualification processes within the Nordics Cluster.
This position can be based in either our Gothenburg office or our Skanderborg office.
Your profile and qualifications:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated QHSE Manager with an extensive background in quality and HSE system regulations, as well as international norms. The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and capable of implementing and maintaining quality and HSE systems across the Nordics Cluster. You should have a deep understanding of country norms and regulations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive HSE cultural change processes.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Hold a degree in engineering or other relevant technical disciplines, with project management experience being highly desirable.
- Have experience in delivering HSE-related training and driving HSE cultural change processes.
- Possess expertise in auditing techniques and are experienced as an ISO Management Systems representative.
- Bring strong experience in quality and HSE system regulations, international norms, and the implementation of corporate quality and HSE systems.
- Demonstrate a sensitive and inclusive leadership style, with strong leadership skills.
- Are fluent in one of the Nordic languages and English, with good knowledge of IT systems.
