Job Overview: As a QHSE Officer at Ecocoast, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our QHSE management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will play a key role in promoting a safety culture within the company and ensuring that all QHSE procedures are implemented effectively across all operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within the marine or offshore industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation processes.
  • Experience in developing and delivering QHSE training programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QHSE management software.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including on-site at marine locations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to KSA & within UAE, and work extended hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working on and around water.
  • Knows how to swim

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on QHSE performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Provide QHSE training and support to employees and contractors.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the organization, encouraging proactive QHSE practices.
  • Prepare and present QHSE reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure environmental protection measures are in place and effectively managed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry developments and best practices in QHSE management.
