About the role
The Restaurant Manager challenges our expectations and brings new and exciting ideas to create exceptional guest experiences across our amazing spaces.
Some duties include:
- Oversee and co-ordinate operational activities within the Esther and the Conference & Events department, while maintaining the established standards of service.
- Guarantee the running of the department in accordance with Esther Restaurant and hotel policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure compliance, safety and profitability.
- Maintain up to date records of all licenses and qualification for the Food & Beverage team.
- Create, distribute and manage departmental roster effectively ensuring that strategies and practices are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of departments such that financial and service targets are achieved.
- Maintain staff morale and team cohesion through productive and positive leadership.
- Actively look for and optimize opportunities to improve the business.
- Have full working knowledge of the venue’s computer/IT systems.
- Support and actively cultivate an environment of positive service within the department to ultimately achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and team members.

Skills & experience
- Demonstrated hospitality management experience – minimum 2 years.
- A passion for hospitality and a drive to develop.
- Hands on ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent presentation and exceptional communication.
- Team player
- Sound knowledge of current food trends.
