Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the planning and coordination of all aspects of quality assurance activities at the site level. Responsible for requests for quality support from the site and communicate policies and procedures. Act as a quality assurance customer contact for the site.

  • Responsible for the audit process to monitor the quality system and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support ISO registration - as applicable - and other compliance activities.
  • Assist management in analyzing information and product specifications to determine compliance with regulations of agencies including but not limited to: FDA, DEA, Ministry of Health - Canada, and other product regulatory requirements.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the overall quality system.
  • Provide support on key regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training and development of associates.
  • Track quality assurance metrics for the organization.
  • Act as a customer contact for QA related issues/initiatives as needed.
  • Partner with QA management to develop, distribute and maintain regular management reports.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, and regulations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or 1-3 years relevant work experience, required
  • Graduates degree in a related field, preferred
  • Certification related to quality control (RAC, Six-Sigma, etc.), preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment such as FDA - USA, Health Canada etc., required
  • 1 to 3 years of management and supervisory experience (preferably supervising/managing a quality system in a complex/matrix organization), preferred
