Are you a qualified and passionate Health Visitor looking for a part-time role within an ‘Outstanding’ NHS Trust?
Our 0-19 service in Bracknell Forest are a supportive and integrated team of Health Visitors and School Nurses, working closely together. Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE A HEALTH VISITOR WILL INCLUDE:

Leading the delivery of the universal Healthy Child Programme, ensuring effective delegation, workload management and monitoring of care standards.
Working in partnership with families, children, communities and team members to proactively address identified health needs
Our team are mainly based across Children’s Centres in the local area and have fostered strong community ties.

This a permanent part time role for 22.5 contracted hours within our service hours of 9am–5.pm, Monday–Friday. The role qualifies for the higher cost area supplement (HCAS).

Assess child and family needs, using the appropriate assessment and risk assessment tools. Ensuring that at each contact with a child an assessment of the health and developmental need is conducted.
To support breastfeeding and parent infant relationships applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
Ensure that the advice, support and services provided take account of client or family’s race, culture, religion and language.
Full knowledge and understanding of the Local Safeguarding Board Procedures together with Trust guidelines. Exercises vigilance regarding vulnerable families and to respond as necessary.
Working closely with local authority colleagues
Working collaboratively with other health care professionals and agencies ensuring a seamless delivery of services for children and families within the community.

THE 4 “MUST HAVES” FOR YOU TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE:

Be a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register
Previous experience managing cases where a child has a protection plan
Have a valid UK driving license with access to vehicle
