The role in summary
With proven success in customer due diligence including management of all Know Your Customer (KYC) activity, this role would be ideal for someone who is highly experienced in fraud prevention specifically in onboarding of new clients and transaction monitoring. The role will offer ongoing support and guidance to the service delivery team within Pockit.
With experience in alerts and case investigation within Financial Crime teams, our QA would facilitate the execution of an exemplary customer service, both in line with internal SLAs as well as industry regulatory expectations. Our principal aim should be to ensure the activity of our FRC team allows our customers to receive reliable, secure and error-free banking services, whilst also mitigating risks and safeguarding the reputation of Pockit.

This role is anticipated to be 2 days per week (15hours), based in Newcastle City Centre.

What we need from you;

  • Extensive technical knowledge of financial crime prevention – min of 5years or more.
  • A background in FinTech financial crime prevention or compliance is essential
  • Ability to understand performance statistics with confidence to present results to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with different teams to develop, execute or implement initiatives or improvements.
  • Keen attention to detail whilst taking a pragmatic approach to mitigate against risk.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with onboarding systems and Microsoft Office suite and Slack.

Day to day overview;

  • Carry out Quality Assurance via weekly sample checks on a variety of different FRC workflow tasks (Full Restrictions, Scam Reports, SARS/DAML, Partial Restrictions, Onboarding (document reviews and registration approvals), Transaction Monitoring, Faster Payments out, Upgrade Requests, and Complaints).
  • Provide weekly feedback and further training to various members of the FRC and complaints team in regard to these sample checks, highlighting strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Record these feedback sessions and share with the relevant FRC agents.
  • Provide the MLRO with weekly feedback relating to the overall FRC and Complaints team performance and individual performance as well.
  • Provide the MLRO and external stakeholders with monthly QA MI numbers for the workflow areas and individual performance.
  • Provide the MLRO with individual QA MI numbers to assist with individual progression meetings such as 121s or Probations.
  • Carry out the four eyed check on all whitelisting requests from the FRC team.
  • Answer any general questions from members of the FRC team on a daily basis.
  • And to offer support in the completion of reasonable tasks in other areas or departments when needed
