QUALIFICATIONS:
*Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality and compliance role, preferably within the food industry. *Strong understanding of CFIA regulations and organic certification requirements. *Experience managing audits and compliance processes. *Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. *Strong communication and interpersonal skills. *Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Proficient in documentation management and filing systems. *Passion for natural and organic foods is a plus.
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team. This role involves working closely with purchasers, production, and warehouse teams managing compliance with CFIA and other regulatory requirements, overseeing our annual and ongoing Organic Certification audit and compliance, and ensuring product quality through effective management of labeling, documentation, and customer complaints. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Assist purchasers with quality and compliance-related tasks. *Ensure compliance with CFIA and other regulatory requirements. *Manage the annual and ongoing Organic Certification audit and compliance processes. *Oversee labeling and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. *Handle customer complaints related to product quality and compliance. *Manage production and purchasing specification sheets. *Maintain organized filing systems for all compliance and quality-related documentation. *Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to ensure product quality standards are met. *Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
