DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Quality and Governance manager to drive our governance structure across DMC Healthcare and DMC Radiology Reporting.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Have a minimum three-year experience in a similar position.
- Have previous experience in a managerial position.
- You have experience in incident and risk management and routinely develop trend and themed analytical reports.
- Experience in an NHS or a healthcare industry setting.
- Minimum of a graduate degree.
- Ability to understand risk management.
- Ability to understand clinical scenarios and the implications of medical errors.
- Ability to collate and analyse complex statistical information and produce regular reports to a high standard with good accuracy.
- Ability to apply regulatory requirements and escalate where appropriate.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use negotiation and influential skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Working alongside our Chief Operating Officer, the Clinical Leadership team, and the Quality and Governance team, this position will provide you the chance to drive our governance strategic and operational agenda and work across all services at DMC to support the delivery of excellent standards of quality, care and ensure robust governance processes are in place.
We’re searching for someone who has worked in a corporate environment that prioritises quality services, has expertise in risk, incident and complaints management, proven track record in achieving national accreditations, and has used data to steer their decision-making. The role will focus on the 7 pillars of governance.
The Quality and Governance Manager reports to our Chief Operations Officer and work very closely with our key Clinical Leads and Group Medical Director.
