Job Description
AECOM Canada Remediation is searching for a Quality and Safety Specialist for a Casual position based at Markham.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.
- Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and safety and quality plan; receives guidance from senior manager or director.
- Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
- Initiate and create field investigation plans with responsibility for demonstrating upmost safety.
- Supervises and performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas. Highest non-supervisory position.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably registered, or eligible to register for CET
- 10 years of experience in high profile projects such as MTO highway project
- Strong commitment to the field safety
