Quality Assur. Associate - Produce
The purpose of the Produce QA is to monitor produce to ensure BEK’s quality principles are met and maintained.
- Evaluate produce and document any issues found to ensure quality is maintained.
- Performs duties in the warehouse such as receiving and monitoring ripening area and ripening rooms for cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment.
- Complete paperwork timely and efficiently after quality inspections.
- Report findings to personnel/supervisor to maintain consistent communication among departments.
- Follow BEK Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Guidelines.
- Document any issues with product dates, and handling produce returns.
- Perform daily recaps of work performed with the supervisor
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am-4:00pm (Rotating Saturdays)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of work-related experience required; or combination of education and experience
- Food service industry experience required
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines helpful
- Ability to ready and interpret rules/guidelines
- Basic data entry (10-key by touch) skills
- Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
- Able to work in extreme temperatures (cold and hot)
- Excellent Organization skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
