ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify the test requirements based on specifications and coordinate testing activities with development and product teams. Design and execute test cases, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to ensure thorough evaluation and quality assurance.
  • Record and detail all bugs and errors found in testing and monitor their status during the resolution process. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize fixes and manage issues using defect-tracking tools. Communicate actionable insights to stakeholders to aid in defect resolution.
  • Analyze new software releases to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate those issues. Assess the impact of software updates or patches. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to risk management procedures.
  • Maintain precise test strategies and results records while reviewing technical documents for thoroughness. Guarantee that documentation adheres to company and regulatory standards and obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders.
  • Provides support for Business as Usual (BAU) issues and is tasked with the quality in the BAU process when production issues arise.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is an asset.
  • 3+ years in Canadian banking experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Knowledge of and experience in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), testing concepts, methodologies and metrics as an asset.
  • CCS-related business knowledge (retail, commercial, etc.) and product knowledge (i.e. T24, Digital, and Advice Centre)
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers ( e.g. QA team, Development team, Business, Infrastructure)
