Bexley is an outer London Borough with the best of both worlds, located between the hustle and bustle of London and the Garden of England, Kent. Within the borough we have award winning parks, open spaces and listed heritage sites.
The Quality Assurance Team sits within Safeguarding Adults, in Adult Social Care. The team’s purpose is to ensure services within the borough locality and those commissioned by London Borough of Bexley within and outside of the borough are safe, effective, and well-lead in meeting the identified needs of Service Users and that they achieve the high standards of quality in accordance with quality benchmarking.
This will involve working with providers and other boroughs and professional agencies to achieve and maintain the best Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating possible and direct engagement with friends, family, representatives and especially people with lived experiences. The team also works closely with internal stakeholders, such as Commissioners, Brokers, Safeguarding and Public Health.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
A relevant qualification in a social or health care profession or significant relevant professional experience in Adult Social Care Experience in a supervisory role is essential.

Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance (QA) manager will be responsible for both the Strategic and Operational Management of the QA Team, driving continuous improvement and having oversight of the activity of the team, ensuring services are meeting Quality Standards, Contract Compliance and CQC regulations.
You will be expected to have knowledge of all areas of the service, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining service improvements, this will include but not be limited to Care Homes, Supportive Living, Day Opportunity Services and Homecare.
You will be required to undertake the monitoring, evaluation, and review of contractual arrangements.
You will be responsible for the provision of assurances to Adult Social Care regarding the safe and effective provision of services commissioned. Where poor quality is identified you will ensure that appropriate and timely remedial actions are undertaken.
You will ensure that the team are obtaining feedback from the people who use our services, and their families/carers and representatives and that feedback is analysed and reviewed to make changes to services to improve the outcomes for the people using services.
You will lead the team through changes, developments and implement new monitoring systems and processes.
