3. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably in interior decor production or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Familiarity with interior decor materials, fabrication techniques, and finishing processes, with an understanding of quality requirements and standards specific to the industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive quality initiatives and achieve quality objectives.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Certification in quality management or quality engineering (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is advantageous.

4. EXPERIENCE / WORK COMPETENCE:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, with a focus on interior decor production or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving quality objectives in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience in conducting quality inspections, audits, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and certifications relevant to interior decor production (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Establish quality control checkpoints at various stages of the production process, including material inspection, fabrication, assembly, and finishing, to detect defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production activities, materials, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Collaborate with design teams, production supervisors, and craftsmen to communicate quality expectations, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and consistency.
  • Analyze quality data, performance metrics, and customer feedback to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and quality control records, to track quality performance and ensure traceability.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the quality of incoming materials, components, and finishes used in interior decor production, conducting quality inspections and implementing supplier quality programs as needed.
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and installation teams to address quality-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction during project execution and handover.
