Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as ‘The Food Bowl of Australia’ as around 25% of the total value of Victoria’s agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. Salary: $73,565.44 per annum pro rata

Are you an experienced early childhood professional seeking a fulfilling role in a supportive environment?
Greater Shepparton City Council is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Officer to join our Early Years department.
This part-time role 24 hours per week, offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the leadership team of Children’s services and oversee the quality assurance of our 14 early years services. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and procedures to enhance the overall quality of our early childhood services.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualification in early childhood education.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or a similar role within the early childhood sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to review and develop policies and procedures.
- HLTAID012 - Provide first aid in an education and care setting
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Working with Children’s Check, Employee
- Criminal history check (or willing to complete)
Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood (or willing to complete)
