Quality Assurance Inspector AFTERNOONS Colby Drive, Waterloo
DAYS: M-TH 2:45pm - 12:45am

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, the Quality Assurance Inspector will work in a quick paced, physical team environment and must be aware of and follow all quality and safety procedures in the operation of their duties. The individual will work closely with production and logistics to ensure the accurate and timely inspection of parts prior to shipping.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance field or a trade certification in machining
· 1-3 years of related inspection experience within manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical bulletins.
· Knowledge of GD&T. (preferred)
-Able to operate CALYPSO software for CMM preferred
· Innovative with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
· Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
· Able to work effectively under deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
· Must possess good critical thinking and analytical skills.
· Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities:

· Perform final (visual) inspection of parts ensuring conformance to print requirements.
· Verify conformance of products to specifications and determine the causes of deficiencies.
· Perform first off approvals using standard gauges and CMM machine. (CMM training provided)
· Execute daily inspections of the work in progress according to QMS and maintain accurate records of the inspections.
· Train and assist operators to carry out their quality assurance functions.
· Assist in maintaining conformance to ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
· Support the Director of QA in developing policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, components, and operations.
