Description:
Job title: Quality Assurance Lead

Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on skills and experience
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Experience of leading or managing Quality within and engineering/manufacturing organisation, with evidence of reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, standards and technical requirements
- Proven experienced in Quality Management Systems including Auditing (Lead Auditor training) and Quality Problem Solving/Investigation skills (8D)
- Clear Quality management skills for Quality Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and use of tools such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, APQP, First Article, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control, Quality Metrics and key performance indicators
- Preferably proven knowledge and experience within a precision machining environment of product verification, inspection processes requirements management and quality standards
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary focal point for all quality assurance related matters which affect the area of responsibility, providing leadership to effective quality planning and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders
- Lead process assurance and quality planning activities to identify and reduce the risk of quality escapes through new, complex and critical activities
- Liaise with senior stakeholders internal to the company, key partner organisations and customer’s communities on quality related topics and improvement action plans
- Maintain a suite of quality focused metrics, which inform the performance of critical to quality activities and present these at project and customer reviews
- Conduct trend and root cause analysis using quality key performance indicators and to develop improvement strategies with key stakeholders and project delivery leads
- Oversee risk focused internal audits, quality investigations and process confirmations to determine compliance with business policies, programme processes and quality standards
