Description:
QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER
Location: Remote (UK based) with regular travel
Salary: £29,450 per year (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,483.94, if eligible)
Length of contract: 12 months fixed term contract
Hours per week: 37

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER ROLE:
To coordinate, develop and promote the Women’s Aid Quality Standards Framework and conduct quality assessments against the Women’s Aid Federation England National Quality Standards with a focus on customer service and income generation. The role will support Women’s Aid member organisations to continually improve and evidence good quality specialist responses to survivors’ needs in local service provision and to support the development of a broader accreditation offer to the sector and other key stakelders.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER:
- To conduct quality standards assessments of specialist domestic abuse services and to work to agreed targets and timescales, including reviewing evidence, making site visits, writing reports and presenting cases
- Arrange and undertake interviews with a range of staff, trustees, service-users, and volunteers from the organisation applying for the quality mark.
- Facilitate and take an active part in internal verification and moderation groups for assessors to discuss areas of development and best practice
- To support the Chair of the Quality Assessment Panel in conducting panel meetings and to support the Membership Resolution Manager in dealing with appeals and complaints
- To promote the Women’s Aid Quality Standards to a range of stakeholder audiences
- Develop and maintain good relationships with Member Services throughout their quality assessment journey, including before, during and after assessment
