QUALITY ASSURANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPER (MATERNITY COVER)

We are currently looking for a documentation specialist to join our Furniture Development Department as a Quality Assurance Product Developer. The position is a maternity cover starting from 2 January or as soon as possible hereafter, lasting for 10 to 12 months. The job will be based at our office in the heart of Copenhagen.
About the job
As a Quality Assurance Product Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining our quality documentation that is essential to the production and quality assurance of our furniture products. You will be responsible for communication between the Product Development Team, Quality Department and suppliers.

More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Work on product development with the internal team and suppliers, with a special focus on quality assurance
  • Create new and maintain existing quality documents
  • Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings
  • Assist on creating Instruction Manuals
  • Assist on creating product tags
  • Update and maintain data in Smartsheet
  • Create 3D-vizualisations and graphical work for presentations, if needed
  • Take care of ingoing and outgoing sample shipments, if needed
  • Assist on PD related work at photoshoots and annual fairs, if needed

Are you the Quality Assurance Product Developer we are looking for?

What we expect

  • You are passionate, detailed and pragmatic, with an interest in contemporary design
  • You have an undergraduate study or masters in Product Development, Product Documentation, Industrial Design or similar
  • We highly value the HAY culture, and therefore we are looking for a team player, who is willing to go the extra mile for your colleagues
  • At the same time, you thrive in a dynamic and international environment

Experience required

  • Other than the day-to-day use of Microsoft Office, you are a competent user of the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • You also ideally have some basic knowledge of 3D modeling, exporting both 3D and 2D drawings from Rhino/SolidWorks, as well as documenting the quality assurance of physical products
  • Any prior experience or internship within a product development or product documentation role is a big bonus, especially within furniture design and development, but not essential
  • Furthermore, you master English at a high level, as we are an international company
