We are seeking a bright, energetic individual to assume the role of full-time QA Technician. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a small-medium size company.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The QA Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the Quality Assurance team to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance with FSSC 22000 standards. This role involves conducting quality audits, analyzing data, ensuring corrective actions, and promoting continuous improvement within production processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in food processing, preferably in fresh produce.
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMPs.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skill
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and sampling of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards and FSSC 22000.
- Monitor and report on critical control points (CCPs) and verify that preventive controls are effective.
- Assist in investigating non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and verifying their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the QA team to review and update SOPs related to quality and food safety.
- Assist in training employees on food safety and quality standards.
- Prepare quality reports and analyze data trends to recommend process improvements.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement projects as required.
