How you make a difference:
The Quality Assurance Nurse (QA Nurse) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical activities in the Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with NCCHC standards, company policies, and applicable laws. They support staff in delivering efficient patient care and achieving positive outcomes, while implementing clinical standards, education, and fulfilling contractual obligations. The QA Nurse must maintain the confidentiality of PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead a multidisciplinary quality improvement committee, preparing audit reports and periodic internal CQI reports for submission to management.
  • Supervise data collection and assist in developing corrective action plans, ensuring staff participation and addressing suicide prevention.
  • Ensure the CQI program includes physician clinical chart reviews and assist in maintaining standards folders used in accreditation.
  • Apply critical thinking skills and sound judgment to a variety of practical and emergent situations while following standardized procedures.
  • Be alert at all times, pay close attention to details, work under stress and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

  • Two (2) or more years clinical nursing experience preferredPrevious corrections experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • Currently licensed in the state within which services is provided
  • Current CPR and AED Basic Life Support Certification
