Description:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A QATL / JUNIOR QA MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced QATL / Junior QA Manager to play a key role in ensuring that quality standards are met, and customer orders are completed on time.

Responsibilities:

THE JOB ROLE

Reporting directly to the Technical Solutions Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that we meet quality standards and complete all customers orders on time.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:


  • Work within and use the QMS to ensure product safety, legality, quality and customer specifications are always achieved.

  • Promote a Food Safety and Quality Culture throughout your team and the wider business.

  • A key member of the HACCP Team, attend and participate in all HACCP meetings.

  • As part of the internal auditing team, you will conduct GMP, Glass, Hygiene and other internal audits to ensure the site meets the safety, quality and legality requirements. The audits will be conducted in line with the auditing schedule, making sure all areas of the business are fully informed of any non-conformances and follow through to closed status.

  • Participate in operational policy and procedure change to ensure proposed changes are workable in a practical sense.

  • Collate data for KPI’s and trend analysis, investigate and report findings to the technical team.

  • Manage the pesticide and microbiological samples for testing against the testing schedule using our analysis partner.

  • Conduct Traceability/Mass Balance and Mock recalls, highlighting areas for improvement and action.

  • Attend site meetings as required and prepare accordingly. Voice any quality/technical concerns, sharing any relevant information with the technical team.

  • Summarise internal data to show where any improvement may be made. (Example: Shelf-Life performance)

  • Record, challenge and investigate customer complaints, rejections and non-conformances

  • Maintain all Specifications (internal and external) are current and available to all relevant teams.

  • Ensure all technical/quality documentation (internal and external) is current and available to all relevant teams.

  • Instigate as requested and record all trials and benchmarking exercises.

  • Work within and use the QMS to ensure product safety, legality, quality and customer specifications are always achieved.

  • Manage sample requests

  • Mentor and nurture the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all job tasks are completed consistently and accurately.

  • Deliver and record all training to QA team and maintain the departmental training matrix.

  • Empower your team to provide input and suggestions, which lead to continuous improvement and development, promoting a customer first culture.

  • Drive systems, policies and procedures knowledge within your team.

  • Ensure the QA team works within the sites policies and procedures by promotion and leading by example.

  • Ensure QA assessment results are communicated to relevant teams

  • Ensure the QA function is always covered including absence and holidays.

  • Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings up to final written warning.
