Description:

We are looking for a QA Technician to join our Product Integrity team and help ensure the quality and compliance of our storage and distribution centre in Burton. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the site’s Quality Management System (QMS).
You’ll collaborate closely with the inbound and outbound product teams to conduct product assessments and ensure compliance with required specifications. Additionally, you will perform Good Operational Practices (GOP) and internal audits to ensure the facility consistently meets high standards. Occasionally, you may assist with international initiatives, such as coordinating transit trials

This is a permanent role located at our Burton Distribution Centre Monday-Friday.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a technical or quality role within a product manufacturing, storage, or distribution facility in the food sector.
  • Strong understanding of BRC or other GFSI standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting product assessments to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in auditing processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP).Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external key stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable with juggling multiple timelines and working in a highly agile environment
  • Highly accountable and great at problem solving.
  • Results driven with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct product assessments to ensure compliance for food, vitamins, medicinal, and personal care products.
  • Perform and support internal audits (GMP, G&P, traceability, and systems audits) with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain and update HACCP/HARA systems, ensuring full compliance with schedules and assigned actions.
  • Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage and document the site’s pest control processes, addressing issues promptly to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare Product Incident Reports and collaborate across departments to ensure effective resolutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and site commissioning, aligning with operational and food safety goals
