PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High School completed
  • Some mechanical &/or technical college an asset
  • Manufacturing/ production experience in large scale multi-cultural manufacturing
  • Quality Control or Assurance experience
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Analytical skills &Critical thinking
  • Able to accurately use precision metrology measurement equipment
  • Time- management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD/technical drawings
  • Ability to use and interpret metric and imperial systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize work and understand value added process improvements

Responsibilities:

  • Testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Checking dimensions of finished products against CAD drawings and work traveler specifications
  • Checking along production lines to ensure quality standards are in compliance with product specifications during product manufacturing.
  • Completing DPFs (Defective Product Form) for defective raw materials
  • Sending completed DPF and a sample of defective raw material to supplier, Supervisor, and other involves parties.
  • Completing Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) when required
  • Populating scheduled inspection sheets and documenting detailing testing and investigations
  • Performing chamber testing on random finished product samples- air and water testing
  • Assessing defective product returns from customers
  • Determining root causes of defect
  • Deciding the disposition of the claim
  • Writing and submitting a detailed report on findings to the RMA requestor
  • Troubleshooting quality problems, investigating causes and proposing solutions
  • Conduct In-process line audits and review findings with supervisors and line operators.
  • Training line operators on critical inspection processes
  • Outcome: high quality products that meet established standards
  • Completing Quality Risk Summary Reports for all Production Lines
  • Developing quality defect reports (as required)
  • Conducting on-site inspections (as required
