QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure that LIV Communities’ homes meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The Quality Assurance Technician will work closely with the construction team, subcontractors, and inspectors to identify and address potential issues, ensuring a seamless handover to our homeowners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, construction, or homebuilding.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Tarion warranty requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with the construction team and purchasers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with building codes, company standards, and customer expectations.
  • Identify deficiencies and work with site supervisors and subcontractors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform final inspections prior to homeowner possession.
  • Document and report inspection findings, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution.
  • Provide feedback to the construction team to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the Ontario Building Code, Tarion warranty guidelines, and industry best practices.
