We are seeking a highly motivated Quality & Continuous Improvement Support Manager to join our fantastic team in Findern, Derby (DE65 6BG).
The position holder will cultivate a lean “Right First Time” culture, driving measurable enhancements in cost, quality, and service for internal operations and client interactions.
This role will require travel and will offer a salary of up to £45,000.00 (DOE) per annum with an additional £5000 car allowance.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a clear CI strategy across our operations and deliver tangible improvements to business efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with customers to identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements in services offered.
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and achieve target savings through Kaizen techniques.
  • Coordinate with contract / operational teams to establish process improvements.
  • Effectively utilize tools such as lean thinking, Six Sigma methodologies, and value stream mapping.
  • Undertake rapid response deployment to lead a multi-functional group to support any immediate business needs
  • Identify options and creative solutions while focusing on cost, risk, and impacts on all parties
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships both within and outside the organisation to share and enhance best practice standards.
  • Foster ownership and enhance capability development throughout the operation
  • Establish and act as the main Point of Contact for any continuous improvement opportunities or initiatives, ensuring all interactions are maintained with professionalism and collaboration.
  • Committed to enhancing skills and professional growth to optimise efficiencies in our operations.

Key Skills:

  • Logistics experience, preferably in a 3/4PL environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering business performance improvements.
  • Core CI skills and experience (such as Lean, Kaizen, and Green Belt)
  • Experience in developing and applying process improvement tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to understand complex information/concepts quickly and disseminate in an understandable way
  • Great stakeholder and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platforms, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook.
