We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Quality Control Administrator for our Quality Department at our Leamington, ON location.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Quality Control Administrator oversees and monitors the inspection and validation of inspections of produce to ensure adherence meets established quality standards. They will be required to provide training and coaching to the team involved in inspecting produce and ensuring that they meet the quality standards specified by the company and customers. The administrator will be needed to provide coverage for supervisors when on vacation or extended leave.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of Quality Control experience.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • High degree of confidentiality regarding employee and job-related matters.
  • Experience and comfort in working with computers and software programs.
  • Excellent communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.
  • Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed.
  • Ability to address difficult situations confidentiality, professionally and respectfully.
  • Safety shoes are mandatory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting and climbing ladders daily.
  • Balance between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Quality Manager to audit and validate inspections and call out any discrepancies with inspections to ensure compliance and accurate reports
  • Escalate and inspection reports that showcase advanced quality and compliance issues.
  • Provide updates to the Quality Manager for each QC employee on any concerns and/or issues.
  • Investigate rejections and communicate to management for further engagement with stakeholders.
  • Communicate with the QC team regularly to ensure they are following their responsibilities by addressing any issues from inspection outputs.
  • Maintain daily contact with the Quality Manager and other departments such as Production, Commodities, Shipping and Receiving to address and follow up with operational issues/concerns.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of equipment and sign offs are completed. Ensures equipment is working properly and address any equipment concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Provide continuous training, coaching and development throughout the department.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager with performance reviews, incident reports, H&S investigation.
  • Completes monthly calibration of equipment.
  • Plan, delegate, and lead the team to improve performance and standards of quality through motivation and encouragement.
  • Conduct quality inspections and provide support to the team as needed
  • Perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for quality issues and to initiate continuous improvement.
