We are currently recruiting a safety professional with a CSO designation to join our Safety Team as a Project Safety Coordinator for our Vancouver region. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills and attention to detail. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of the ITC Business Model.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and commonly used software and databases.
  • Understanding of the ITC Brand and Value Proposition.
  • Ability to communicate, liaise and work in conjunction with Owners, Trades and Consultants.
  • Knowledge of standard procedure for ITC Planning.
  • Knowledge of standard procedure for ITC Scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of ITC Direction i.e. all systems used by ITC to manage construction projects.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ITC Monitoring, Schedule Control including Tracking, Quality Control and Safety Control.
  • Working knowledge of ITC Punch-Out, Deficiency Management, and Warranty Management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Project Close-Out.
  • Basic construction knowledge on Structures, Building Envelopes, Finishes and ME&P.
  • Ability to carry out inspections as specifically directed by the Project Manager or Superintendent.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preference will be given to those individuals who have completed a course of study related to Construction. In addition to and alternatively to the above, a background in the Trades, particularly carpentry, is a benefit and meets the pre-requisite educational requirements by way of experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and commonly used software and databases.
  • Basic construction knowledge on Structures, Building Envelopes, Finishes and ME&P.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Procore, including the usage of the Deficiency Tool would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding punchout schedules.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with direct report on a daily basis to review exceptions in suites, common areas, building envelope and other areas that might be assigned for his/her review.
  • Ability to communicate, liaise and work in conjunction with Trades and Site Staff.
  • Ability to carry out inspections as specifically directed by the Superintendent on building construction projects
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of New home warranty standards
  • Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and assistance during the deficiency stage of a project.
  • Carry out suite inspections and identify deficiencies.
  • Ensure trades comply with building expectations.
  • Monitoring progress and completion of suite deficiency items through Procore.
  • Scheduling and coordination of Trades and deficiency workers to complete suite items and other assigned areas of the project.
  • Bring up to the attention of ITC Superintendent and/or Warranty Manager any deficiencies, errors, and concerns that are becoming systematic from the Trades.
  • Written communication to the trades as required to ensure schedules are met.
  • Organize the site in cooperation with the Superintendent to ensure Quality Standards are met.
  • Participate in trade meetings as required on site.
  • Inspect the trades work on a continuing and regular basis to ensure compliance with the drawings, specifications, and good building practice.
