JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control (QC) Engineer/Technician to support the calibration and quality assurance of our air quality monitoring instruments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent performance and reliability standards. While your focus will be on quality control, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to R&D and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on precision and values process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Calibration and Quality Assurance:

  • Perform precision calibration of air quality monitoring instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable performance
  • Develop and execute test plans for validating instrument performance and compliance with specifications
  • Inspect and test incoming parts, subassemblies, and final products using established quality standards
  • Conduct environmental and performance testing to ensure product reliability under various conditions

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of calibration processes, test results, and inspection outcomes
  • Identify and document non-conformities, ensuring clear communication for resolution
  • Generate detailed quality reports to inform stakeholders of trends, findings, and improvement opportunities

Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze quality data and provide actionable feedback to R&D and manufacturing teams to enhance product performance and reliability
  • Collaborate indirectly with R&D by offering insights from QC findings to improve future designs
  • Suggest process improvements and corrective actions to the Quality Manager based on testing and inspection results

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, calibration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in calibration techniques and use of measurement tools such as multimeters and environmental testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001-based quality management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Post-secondary degree in engineering, physics, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electrical components and systems (an asset)

Additional Information:

  • A one-day work trial may be part of the interview process
  • The position includes a 3-month probationary period
  • Work schedule: 8-hour workdays, Monday to Friday
