Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking Quality Control Inspectors specializing in FA-18 aircrafts to join the team in San Antonio, Texas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of Quality Aerospace Inspection experience
- 3+ years performing product or process inspections
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance or inspection experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background
- Experience with F/A-18 or F-15 products
TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Responsibilities:
- Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations
- Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions
- Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner
- Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished
- Communicates deficiencies to proper persons
- Maintains Quality Control files
- Document results of all inspections
