Description:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.Prepare and review quality control plans for construction projects.Ensure that quality control procedures align with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests of construction materials, processes, and finished work.Ensure that all inspections and tests are documented and results are recorded accurately.Identify any defects or issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations set by Singapore authorities (e.g., Building and Construction Authority).Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards that affect construction quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of quality control inspections, tests, and compliance reports.Prepare quality reports and provide recommendations for improvements based on inspection results.
  • Training and Development: Train construction personnel on quality control procedures and standards.Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and monitor the quality of materials and services provided by suppliers and subcontractors.Address any quality issues related to third-party contributions.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and non-conformities.Develop corrective and preventive action plans to address recurring issues.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met.Communicate quality standards and expectations clearly to all team members.
  • Audit and Review: Conduct regular audits of quality control processes and systems.Review and update quality control procedures to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to quality and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
