Description:

Responsibilities:

To qualify, you will need relevant experience coordinating and/or managing a QMS and at least three years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in coordinating or participating in quality improvement initiatives will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Previous experience working in health care or the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector
- Working knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards and/or experience with other Standards or Legislative requirements
- Internal Auditor qualifications and/or experience conducting audits

Lastly, you must be willing and able to travel around the Kimberley region, making a valid driver’s licence a requirement.
This is a critical role in managing the quality framework of KAMS and KRS. We are looking for a candidate who can lead and support a culture of continuous improvement, communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation to maintain high quality standards and meet accreditation.
Please note: Successful candidates must obtain a cleared Police Check Certificate and a Working with Children Check before commencing employment and must have full-time, unlimited work rights in Australia.
The key responsibilities of the Quality Coordinator include:
- Managing the Quality Management System (QMS) to conform to ISO 9001:2015, internal, legislative, and customer requirements
- Providing reports and advice to the Executive Management Team on the performance of the QMS
- Manage and implement an ongoing quality improvement framework for the KAMS and KRS
- Leading and supporting managers on strategies to foster an organisational culture prioritising quality management and process improvement
- Communicating and engaging with managers and key staff to optimise quality management within their departments
- Planning and managing organisational quality initiatives
- Managing the QMS software (LogiQC) and overseeing the Compliance Officer (Quality)
- Coordinating and collaborating to meet accreditation and licensing requirements, including ISO, National Safety and Quality Health Standards, and RACGP Standards
- Planning and managing ongoing support and education of the QM
