Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Quality team located in New Orleans, LA.
This position will be supporting Space Launch Systems (SLS) program at Michoud Assembly Facility and be responsible for engineering drawing releases, supplier non-conformances (NCR), hardware and test evaluation results. This position will be working in a fast-paced production environment on 1st shift and will require intra-departmental communication and interfacing with customer and suppliers.
Successful candidates will have experience working in non-conformance reviews of suppliers, design reviews, releasing drawing and root cause and corrective action.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and/or interface control documents
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or other similar QMS standard
