Responsibilities:
- Investigate root causes for prototype and production quality issues
- Create reports to feed back quality issues to suppliers and supervise the entire process of implementing corrections and countermeasures
- Improve quality control systems with expanded implementation of SPC
- Create work instructions for production to control key quality processes
- Run tests in our environmental chamber to ensure system reliability
- Create documentation to support incoming inspection for new components and systems
Education and Experience:
- Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree
- 5+ years of experience in quality control
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Very comfortable using Vernier calipers, micrometers and surface plates
- Familiar with oscilloscopes, multimeters and related equipment
- Trained and experienced in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) to medium volume manufacturing
- Experience working with vendors to solve quality issues
