Job Title: Quality Engineer (Aerospace)
Location: Darwen
Job Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, working a 4-day week over a 5-day operational week.
Hourly Rate: Competitive based on experience
Brookhouse Aerospace is a prominent name within the Aerospace Sector, providing Advanced Composite and Metal Components for Civil & Defense Aerospace applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality in our aerospace products.
Job Description: As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical part in overseeing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance plans and procedures for aerospace products.
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Analyse test results, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that all products meet regulatory and internal quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to integrate quality controls throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct supplier audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and procedures.
