JOB DESCRIPTION

Danfoss Fire Safety is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer, customer claims, in the plant in Odense, DK. In this position You will be responsible for handling incoming customer claims, registration, remedial actions, root cause analyzes, corrective action implementation and initiate preventive actions.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

  • Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or related technical field in Quality.
  • 3 years of prior experience in same position or equivalent position.
  • Knowledge of quality techniques including statistical methods and experienced in using problem solving tools as FMEA, 8D, DMAIC.
  • Prior experience dealing with customers claims on quality issues in cross-functional teams, within close collaboration in matrix an organization.
  • Team-oriented, problem-solving skills using quality tools, structured methodologies and process approach.
  • Proficient in Six Sigma, preferable minimum yellow belt.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of Product/Process and Quality System standards in the field of ISO 9001.
  • Fluent English language.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Daily management of customer claims in the Quality department.
  • Support with remedial actions towards the customer.
  • Claim NCR registration and monthly statistical customer claim reporting to QEHS Manager.
  • Report quality cost at customer claims, monthly.
  • Analyze customer claim performance and set the plant goals for all quality metrics and perform managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
  • Drive root cause analyze and Corrective action implementations.
  • Initiate that the Preventive actions are performed at selected Customer claims, continuous improvement.
  • Participate in weekly Kaizen meeting in the Quality department. Claim status board meetings.
