One or combination of the below desired:
- Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials or similar field.
- CQI Qualifications
- Lead Auditor Qualified (ISO9001, AS9100)
- Knowledge of Nadcap accreditation for special processes (e.g. NDT, Heat Treatment) would be beneficial.
- Six Sigma/Lean Qualifications (e.g. Black Belt, Green Belt etc.).
- Membership of an industry related Professional Body would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably investment casting or precision machining.
- Knowledge of drawings, tolerancing, dimensional inspection and metallurgical acceptance standards for cast and machined products and how these are measured.
- Knowledge of AS13XXX specifications would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills with significant relevant and recent experience in tools such as 5Y, RCCA, APQP, MSA, PFMEA and PPAP.
Responsibilities:
Customer Discoveries: Taking ownership of all aspects of the process from notification through to verification and closure with the customer. This includes project management of corresponding actions, escalation, monitoring, reporting, and improvement programs.
Non-conformance Management: Owning or supporting all areas of the process, including monitoring, measurement, and reporting of non-conformance performance, disposition, concession preparation and submission, designing rework methods, and initiation of investigations.
Systems Development: Developing business optimal systems in line with customer and regulatory requirements. This involves process mapping, procedure generation or development, gap analysis, action planning, and project management.
Project Management: Ensuring all actions are clearly documented, consolidated, communicated, prioritized, and escalated (where required) to ensure the successful completion of business demands in a timely and professional manner.
Leadership: Acting as a manager to junior engineers, technicians, and inspectors to ensure effective distribution of resources, while also coaching, monitoring, and leading those individuals to their full potential.
Approvals: Representing the Quality department and supporting various systems to ensure compliance is maintained at all times. This includes release paperwork, approvals associated with customer-designated representation (SQRR), production suspension, risk release, and change management.
