Quality Engineer

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Quality Engineer who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Quality Engineering Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree in a Quality or Engineering related discipline
• Customer-driven sense of urgency
• Ability to lead, train, and drive change
• Teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills required
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Minitab
  Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.

• Represent Quality Assurance in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities, working closely with other departments, customers, suppliers and subcontractors on new product launches
• Lead projects focused on quality improvements to drive manufacturing productivity, including scrap reduction, and continuous improvement
• Act as liaison between customer and manufacturing/engineering on quality issues
• Work with Purchasing to address supplier quality issues
• Assist in the development and execution of training programs throughout the manufacturing and quality areas
